Isabella joined Sancroft in 2015 and leads our responsible investment practice. Her other areas of expertise include business and human rights and sustainability strategy. She works predominantly with private equity, supporting firms to integrate ESG considerations at every stage of the investment cycle, and portfolio companies to improve their ESG performance.
Isabella joined us from Tony Blair’s Africa Governance Initiative, a charity that works with several governments across Africa to deliver their visions for development. She has experience in supporting governments on their Private Sector Development strategies, with a focus on the manufacturing industry.
Prior to this, Isabella worked with the corporate responsibility team at Nestlé in Barcelona, an agricultural enterprise in Malawi and with the UN’s Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Ethiopia.
Isabella has a degree in Politics and Spanish from the University of Bristol and an MSc in Human Rights from the London School of Economics where her research focused on business and human rights, specifically looking at the challenges of responsibly and ethically sourcing tobacco and cotton from Malawi.
