As founder and owner of Climate Coach International, LLC, Bryan helps organizations understand climate-related risks and opportunities and then design and implement practical (and cost-effective) climate mitigation and adaptation strategies.
Prior to launching Climate Coach International, LLC, Bryan spent twenty years coordinating and managing a number of environmental initiatives for The Coca-Cola Company. He developed the Company’s eKOfreshment sustainable refrigeration program, an initiative deploying energy efficient refrigeration systems without hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs). Bryan was also instrumental in fostering a relationship with Greenpeace through the formation of Refrigerants, Naturally!, a multi-stakeholder initiative the Company launched in 2004 to encourage environmentally friendly cooling technologies.
Bryan left The Coca-Cola Company after designing the Company’s climate protection program, including a partnership with WWF through the Climate Savers program and a commitment to reduce the carbon footprint of the ‘drink-in-your-hand’, which covers five key segments of the Coca-Cola value chain: Ingredients, Packaging, Manufacturing, Distribution, Refrigeration.
Bryan has a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree (summa cum laude) from Georgia Institute of Technology. While there he specialized in environmental management through the cooperative program with Jordan, Jones and Goulding, Inc., an environmental consulting firm in Atlanta.
Bryan has been recognized as one of the United States’ premier weightlifters. He has represented the U.S. in a number of international events, including the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona and the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. He won a total of five silver medals in the 1991 and 1995 Pan-Am Games and won nine National Championships while breaking fifteen American records.
