Mark has had a career focused on corporate sustainability that has spanned over three decades and he is widely recognised as one of the leading players in the global sustainability market. Mark works with the leadership of companies on social, environmental and sustainability programmes and supports organisations to develop, build and implement their sustainability strategy. He has supported major multinational corporations across most industry sectors – key client examples include Bacardi Limited, Toyota Motor North America, ArcelorMittal and Guardian News and Media. For nearly a decade, he signed off Unilever’s global environmental disclosures.

Mark was a member of the core team tasked with evaluating the success of the UN Global Compact’s work with the private sector to mark its 15-year anniversary in 2015. The project included dialogue with 50 global CEOs and the output was presented to Ban Ki-moon, in the UN General Assembly as part of the process leading up to the launch of the Sustainable Development Goals. Previously he cofounded the Accountability Rating (published by FORTUNE magazine), that benchmarked the corporate responsibility and sustainability practices of the Global 100 companies.

Mark was previously a co-founder and Executive Chairman of the sustainability agency, TwoTomorrows, and played a leading role in developing the international team that joined DNV GL in 2012. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Human & Environmental Biology from The University of York and a Master of Science degree in Environmental Technology from Imperial College, London.
